Sometimes, we get caught up with all the successful moments in our lives we forget what made us who we are. It all starts with our origins and roots. I don't mean prehistoric times but our past and present. The simplest things that can make us happy are seeing our family and friends again.
Not just our every day friends we meet at Starbucks or at school/work but the friends we made before we became successful or simply before we moved on to a better life. They are the ones that helped us in our times of need. They are the ones we could share...
...the defining moments in our lives like a pay raise, job promotion, an A on a test or that we just had a great day.
In the Rules of Life, Arthur Templar talked about touching base every now and then. "Base is home. Base is where you belong. Base is where you feel comfortable, secure, loved, restored, and trusted." Essentially, its an environment where you can be who you are without feeling you have to impress others. Everyone has their own ground state but you essentially just need to find it. When you find it, you will realize how could you ever live without them and how much you truly miss them.
